Meditation in Maastricht
Would you like to learn how to meditate or deepen your existing meditation practice?
At EQuilibrium Maastricht, we practise different meditation techniques to help calm the mind, develop concentration, and strengthen your ability to find inner peace and relaxation.
What is Silent Meditation?
Silent meditation is a practice of turning your attention inward, using your breath and concentration as your main points of focus. The aim is simply to return to yourself and experience a greater sense of inner calm.
We often judge ourselves and continuously comment on everything we do. This can create uncertainty, self-doubt and mental tension. Silent meditation can help you become more connected with yourself, quieten the mind, and cultivate greater relaxation and awareness.
Our meditation classes in Maastricht provide a quiet and supportive environment where you can develop your meditation practice at your own pace.

About the Teacher
The meditation classes are taught by Kierty, who has more than 45 years of experience in meditation and traditional martial arts.
As part of his classical martial arts training, he studied different meditation traditions with Chinese monks, including:
- Zen meditation
- Buddhist meditation
- Daoist meditation
- Energy-based practices such as Qigong (Chi Kung)
- Moving meditation such as Tai Chi
This broad experience brings together different approaches to meditation, breathing, awareness and movement.
Whether you are new to meditation or looking to deepen your existing practice, these classes offer an opportunity to develop greater calm, concentration and self-awareness.
